Hindu Sacred Text Archive
The Internet Sacred Text Archive is a huge repository of texts and scriptures from just about any religion that exists or ever existed. While the site is designed with super-simplicity in mind the information is easy to access. Though the navigation is terse and the presentation is just as terse the substance is there.
This is one of the few places online where you can find all the vedas and most of the upanishads in one place both in English as well as in Sanskrit. Kudos to the organization that went to the trouble to set up this simple yet useful website. Compared to wikipedia that mainly has history of origin and the evolution of such texts, sacred-texts.com goes straight to it the content. When combined with information from wikipedia you can just about get all the information you need about ancient Hindu Scripture. Hindu Scriptures included in the compendium of this website are the Vedas, Upanishads, Epics such as Ramayana and Mahabharata, Puranas such as Vishnu Purana and Devi Gita, The Laws of Manu, Shatapatha Brahmana, Patanjali Yoga Sutras among many more ancient scripture as well as some contemporary books.
